OPSIS Dioxins Sampling System Certified by German TÜV

We are proud to announce that our OPSIS DX100 dioxins sampling system has received certification from German TÜV, confirming its compliance with the requirements for reliable long-term sampling of dioxins in flue gas emissions.
Reliable sampling for critical emissions monitoring
Dioxins, including polychlorinated dibenzo-p-dioxins (PCDD), dibenzofurans (PCDF), and dioxin-like PCBs, are among the most toxic substances known. They can be formed during combustion processes, particularly in waste incineration, which is why dioxin emissions from waste-to-energy plants are subject to strict regulatory requirements.
Because dioxins typically occur in extremely low concentrations, continuous real-time measurement is not currently practical. Instead, emissions are monitored by collecting a representative flue gas sample over an extended period. The sample is accumulated in an absorbent and subsequently sent to an external laboratory for analysis.
Designed for demanding flue gas conditions
The sampling process presents several technical challenges. To obtain representative results, sampling must be carried out isokinetically, requiring precise control and measurement of the sampling flow. At the same time, the equipment must operate reliably in flue gases that can be aggressive, dusty, and wet.
The OPSIS DX100 is designed to handle these demanding conditions. Building on the robust design and proven technology of our OPSIS gas sampling systems, it provides a dependable solution for long-term sampling of dioxins, furans, dioxin-like PCBs, and carbon dioxide.
Certified according to European requirements
The TÜV certification further demonstrates the system’s suitability for demanding emissions monitoring applications. The OPSIS DX100 meets the requirements for dioxin sampling according to European standard EN 1948 and is therefore well suited for sampling in accordance with the EU Waste Incineration Best Available Techniques (WI-BATC) requirements.
