What happens to the measurement results?
When making measurements, it is important to be able to trust the results and then also to interpret them correctly and make them available to the right receiver at the right time and in an understandable way. OPSIS knows how to do this.
You are rarely done just because an instrument generates data which arrives to a receiver. You must almost always also make sure that the data is correct or at least “good enough” for the intended purpose. This is usually called to “validate” data. It can be done automatically but it may also require manual reviews.
Data validation can sometimes be easy, but it can also be difficult. The efforts invested in this depends on the type of data and the sought-after quality of the data. The desired quality depends on the consequences if the data doesn’t reach the required quality level. It can have a huge financial and legal impact, and at worst, it can literally be a matter of life and death.
It takes a lot of competence and resources to establish validation strategies for data from complex measurement systems and then also to apply the strategies. Experience helps, and OPSIS has multiple years of experience in this field. We can design complex validation strategies and assume the task to carry out the validations in a safe, fast, and cost-effective way. You are in good hands if you let OPSIS supply you with these services.
Once measurement data has been validated, it remails to make it available. This can be done automatically but it may also be desirable to have seasoned data analytics process the data further, make summaries, and explain what the data means. There can also be requirements or requests on the appearance of the reports.
Keeping track of what is to be reported and making sure that it is done in the right way to the right receiver at the right time can be a demanding task. However, OPSIS has may years of experience in supplying reports to both clients and authorities and can therefore manage the challenges ‒ we know what it takes.
