System 400 – One System, Three Solutions – Fast-loop

OPSIS System 400 offers three possible monitoring solutions depending on the conditions of the monitoring location. This video focuses on the fast-loop solution.

System 400FL (fast-loop) is an alternative to System 400CS for applications where the gas duct is difficult to access or where the required monitoring path length is limited.

In this system, an insulated pipe connects the sampling point to a separately located closed measurement cell, with the gas returned to the duct after analysis.

The flow through the system is typically driven by the natural pressure drop in the flue gas duct or by a dedicated fan at the measurement cell outlet.

This high flow ensures that the sampled gas accurately represents the composition of the flue gas, even when the measurement cell is installed at a considerable distance.

Like the 400CS, the system is usually based on an AR600 analyser and can be expanded with an AR650 to enable detection of additional gas species.
